Setting up your new BoxLock

Congratulations! You've downloaded the BoxLock app and created an account. These next steps will show you how to fully configure your BoxLock to automatically receive your delivery tracking numbers.  

 

Step 1: Connect the BoxLock app with your primary email account

BoxLock captures the notifications you receive from carriers. To do this you’ll need to connect your email account to the BoxLock app.

Note: This needs to be done in the app

  1. Open the app on your phone and login

  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) and choose "Connect Email Accounts"

  3. Tap "Add"

  4. Choose your account type and enter details

  5. When prompted, tap "Allow" to let the BoxLock app read the tracking numbers from the carrier emails notifications you receive

Note: If anyone else in your household will be using BoxLock, you can link their email addresses as well to make sure the app receives all tracking numbers of packages being sent to your home. 

Step 2: Connect your carrier accounts (or create them if you haven’t already)

If you already have accounts with the carriers below, simply make sure that you are receiving notifications of package deliveries (specifically “Day of Delivery” emails) to the email address you connected with BoxLock in Step 1. If you don't already have an account with each carrier, please follow the steps below.

UPS My Choice®

  1. Sign up for UPS My Choice® or login if you’re an existing user

  2. Add your Address

  3. Add Your Household Members

  4. Under “Alerts” ensure that “Day of Delivery” is selected for your email

FedEx Delivery Manager®

  1. Sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager® or login if you’re an existing user

  2. Go to “My Profile” > “FedEx Delivery Manager®"

  3. Add any “Alternate Names” if needed

  4. Under “Notifications” ensure that “The day of delivery” is selected for your email

USPS Informed Delivery®

  1. Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery® or sign in if you’re an existing user

  2. Go to “Settings”

  3. Under “Daily Package & Traceable Indicia Updates” ensure that “Day of Delivery Updates” is selected for your email

Amazon 

  1. Ensure your Amazon account uses the same email address you connected with your BoxLock app in Step 1 (“Account & Lists” > “Your Account” > “Your Addresses”)

  2. No further action is needed

Note: To ensure a higher success rate with carriers we recommend adding a note to your carrier profiles alerting the drivers to utilize BoxLock. Example: “Please scan packages with BoxLock.” These can usually be added in the “Second Address Line” or “Delivery instructions” fields.

Additionally, consider purchasing a yard sign which will act as an added visual aid for delivery drivers.

 
 

Step 3: That's it! Your account is configured and you're now ready to start receiving secure deliveries.
